Sudoku puzzles have nine spaces across, nine spaces down and nine boxes of nine spaces within each. When a sudoku is solved, the numbers 1 through 9 will appear in each row, column and box - but only once - and not in any particular order. Numbers are clues and each puzzle comes with some numbers already filled in. Begin solving the sudoku by seeing which numbers already appear in each row, column and box. Using logic, fill in the numbers that are missing. The more numbers you fill in, the easier it gets to find the rest. For the Blind Playing pieces have raised tactile markings for the numbers 1 through 9. There are 2 complete sets of numbers in different colors (colors may vary), the first set having one dot in the upper left corner for reference, and the second set having four dots. The board has raised tactile lines on grids, with wider and narrower indentations allowing for easy differentiation of larger and smaller boxes. IMPORTANT NOTE: The 'Hint Cards' that provide the positions of starting numbers, necessary as part of the set-up to begin solving each puzzle, are not in Braille. Therefore, the assistance of a sighted person is necessary to set each puzzle up. For those with Low Vision: Playing Pieces also have numbers written in large, easy-to-see bold type.
