I think these books are boring but my kids (5 and 7) enjoy them and that is what matters.

I bought these books for my nephew when he was learning to read. He really liked them since they're Spongebob books. They're all short enough that he doesn't get frustrated trying to read for too long, and I like the little box-case that they come in, so I can keep them all together.

I bought this for my son that i homeschool. He really likes spongebob so these books are great. They make him want to read more. He reads these book during school time and even after school time.

The first few books in the set are good for beginning readers with a couple of words that are challenging. However the rest of the books are filled with words that are much too difficult for beginners. For instance the book my 5 year old read last night had words like: swirling and karaoke. I have found that her attention is better kept when the books she is trying to read contain a couple challenging words that are more common and are repeated throughout the text. These books do not do as good a job as some other book sets that are more repetitive.
